In collaboration with the world-renowned pioneering scientific research Beckley Foundation, Harvest Series presents a 5-night retreat program combining the transformational legal use of psilocybin and science-backed holistic wellbeing practices with highly acclaimed Harvest Series leaders Bob Thurman and Joel Shearer.

The retreat will feature the world renowned Professor Bob Thurman and the innovative Joel Shearer. Bob Thurman will deliver a powerful dharma talk, offering profound insights into mindfulness and compassion. His teachings will be beautifully enhanced by Joel Shearer's mesmerising atmospheric electronic beats, creating a unique fusion of spirituality and music. This event promises a transformative experience, combining the wisdom of ancient teachings with cutting-edge soundscapes, providing an opportunity for deep reflection and euphoric connection.

Bob Thurman

Bob Thurman, known in the academic circles as Professor Robert A.F. Thurman, is a talented popularizer of the Buddha’s teachings and the first Westerner Tibetan Buddhist monk ordained by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. 

Time Magazine chose him as one of the 25 most influential Americans in 1997, describing him as a “larger than life scholar-activist destined to convey the Dharma, the precious teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha, from Asia to America.

Joel Shearer

Sound Artist, Composer and Producer, Joel Shearer has enjoyed a diverse, multi-decade career in the music industry. 

He has collaborated on numerous albums from Alanis Morrisette’s Grammy-winning “Jagged Little Pill” to Rhye’s latest release, “Passing” as well as on film scores such as Academy Award nominated “127 Hours” and “The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty.” Shearer’s innovative, highly textured guitar style has taken him around the world to record, tour and collaborate with artists such as Dido, Annie Lennox, Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros, Joe Cocker, Damien Rice, Michael Buble, Sarah McLachlan, Sara Bareilles and Mylene Farmer.

LOCATION BECKLEY'S PRIVATE RETREAT CENTER GOOD HOPE, JAMAICA


Jamaica is a paradisiacal island located in the Caribbean Sea. Known for its beautiful landscape, reggae and the warmth of its people, it is the perfect place to relax and connect with nature. 

Jamaica is one of the few countries where the cultivation, gifting and consumption of psilocybin mushrooms is legal. This, together with its lush nature and scenery, makes it the ideal setting for our retreat.

The Good Hope property has two special villas, each centuries old, cut stone homes. The entire property was recently renovated with care to retain the historic charm.

All rooms enjoy their own bathroom, premium bedding and linens and thoughtful decor and there are a variety of lovely air-conditioned room options. Enjoy two swimming pools, river access, a private beach, mountain vistas and yoga room. The beautiful landscape is perfect to enjoy the sunrise and sunset across the open mountainous vistas.

FAQs

The retreat will be held from 19th to 24th January 2025.

The nearest airport is Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay. Once you send us your flight details, Harvest will take care of booking taxis to transport you to the retreat center.

At the retreat, you’ll enjoy a variety of proteins, fruits, nuts, grains, and vegetables. Please note that we do not serve red meat, but there will be plenty of other protein options such as fish and chicken.
